Day of Shipment

We at NipponExports.com collect all orders and ship them collectively on Mondays. Due to the vast amount of orders we receive, we concluded that this was the most effective and accurate method of handling the process.

Please note that if you order during the week, the product(s) will not be shipped until the following Monday. Under no circumstances is this negotiable; we strive for equality and fairness.

Methods of Shipping

• Express EMS (Recommended)

• Standard (SAL)

We at NipponExports.com recommend you choose EMS (Express Mail Service) because it is fast and secure.

If you do not know which shipment method to use please consider these tips:

• If your priorities are speed and security please choose EMS

• If your priority is cost and understand that the packages are not insured please choose SAL

Benefits and disadvantages of EMS:

+ Fast: Package is delivered in a week or less

+ Safe: Insured and package tracking is available

- Cost: EMS cost more than the standard shipping method.

Benefits and disadvantages of SAL:

+ Cost: SAL cost less than express shipping and is useful when shipping inexpensive items.

+ Relatively Safe: Packages rarely (if ever) get lost. Package safety mostly depends on the country of destination. 

- Not Insured: SAL packages are not insured in the case of loss.

- No Tracking: There is no package tracking available for SAL packages.

- Limited size: SAL packages are limited to orders less than 2 kg.

- Time: Delivery time is between 2 weeks and 4 weeks. Orders with time sensitive items are recommended to shipped via EMS.

Please note that NipponExports.com and the Japanase Postal Service can NOT be held liable for uninsured items shipped via SAL. If you want to ensure that your order is safe, we recommend you use Express Mail Service.

All international orders are subjected to custom duties and fees. Purchaser is responsible for the fulfillment of these requirements.

In most cases the shipping cost via EMS is substantially lower than the rates shown above. If the actual shipping cost is lower we will refund you the difference. For the actual shipping costs via EMS please refer to the Japan Postal Service website here.
